"Love the art in yourself and not yourself in the art."

Konstantin Stanislavski, Russian theatre practitioner and actor

Theatre is not somewhere to merely appreciate yourself for self-gratification. It is about making a play great through collaboration. And it is about art.

I am Irene Chen, an IB student in Shanghai YK Pao School.  Some of my favorite things, besides Drama, are watercolor painting, music, cats, TED talks, and sweet food:)

Here you can see all my personal thoughts and notes related to my experience in theatre, including class notes, acting experiences, directing experiences, play reviews, and many more.

Hope my words can inspire your path in Drama, even if just a little bit.  Please leave me messages if you have any thoughts about my journal or about Drama, I would love to discuss with you!
